So excited!!!

So, this last month has been a bit busy. First, Collin has been participating in a Creative Pursuits group. They meet a couple times a week (before & after school) and they do some creative out of the box thinking. This year the theme was "Night at the Museum", each group got a topic they had to research, put together a skit and make a diorama. Last week they had the "bowl" Grant to see what team(s) would represent Grant at the District Bowl. Collins group did "A day in the life of a Mesopotamian". They worked really hard and were chosen to go to the District Bowl, the District Bowl was today and they took FIRST PLACE!!!!!!! Both teams chosen to represent the district are from Grant Elementary. (Wohoo go Grant!!) He is so excited and we are so proud of him. Look for updates shortly, all we know is the state one will be in December.

The next big thing is we finally decided to sell the house and move out of the "almost hood". I think we listed it officially last week. Our plan was that it would take several months (probably many long months) to sale. We start in no huge hurry. Well ok, that's not entirely true, Mark was in no particular hurry, I on the other hand have zero patience and from the minute we decided was ready to move right that minute. We found a couple of houses right off we liked, I found one that I was planning on being THE ONE. Done, ready to move, with out even seeing the floor plan I was mentally placing the furniture. Well, we did a drive by and walked the property and peeked in windows. Um, not quite the gem I thought, but a little paint, new grass, air it out and clean the carpets we're good to go. We finally got to see the interior in person, OMG run like hell. It is an amazing floor plan, still my favorite by far. Who ever owned the property not only trashed it when they were asked to leave, I'm not entirely sure they ever cleaned it. Not ever cleaning it an understatement, I'm not sure they didn't turn a bunch of ADHD crack addicted monkeys loose with the contents of a dumpster. On the bright side looking is really kind of fun AND we might have an offer on our house this evening. Um, holy crap a little faster than even I thought/hoped. We may need to be a little more serious in our search.
