I love summer weekends like this one. I guess it helps its a 3 day weekend. Friday got up read the paper on the back deck and blading before it got too hot. Picked up Collin at Camp Tuttle at noon, didn't see any wild life but it's nice to have Collin home. Mark had some work to do I took the boys over to the WJ pool, Taryn was good for an hour. Collin was also ready to leave after an hour, then he found the diving board. Um, like he didn't see it before? He played for another hour and we bailed. A nice quiet relaxing evening. Got up early had a family breakfast and hiked up to Grandeur Peak. Holy cow! I am glad we didn't get any later start then we did. Took us about 3 hours to get to the top, had squished, hot PB&H/J sandwiches. Admired the sweeping views and congratulated ourselves on making it to the top, about 8300 feet. The hike down took considerably less time and we were really surprised that we ran in to so few people. Holiday weekend with the picnicking area packed, we ran into two smallish groups coming down as we went up and only two singles passing us going up. Got up and got to read the paper on the back deck again, there really is not a better way to spend the morning. Cup of coffee, the paper and a nice breeze, hmmmmm. Mowed the lawn and get to take Taryn to camp in just a little bit, hoping to see some wildlife. Going to walk with Ryan night, ride us over. Hint hint babe.
