Creative Pursuits

Collin had his State Bowl for his Creative Pursuits yesterday. The team he was in worked really hard on the things they were weak in and a little more on the things they were strong in. At the District Bowl their "product" (diorama) scored really well and they blew the impromptu out of the water but their skit needed some work. They were #12 out of 21 teams and we thought they did great. As they were announcing the winners (3 categories, 1st 2nd 3rd place) we thought for sure they would've at least placed some where but at the end they hadn't placed. At the last minute the judges told the announcer lady there was still 1st place overall that needed to be announced. Team 12 from Murray wins! They looked at each other like "who'?? Then you could see it hit, it was them!!! It was so awesome to be there and see them do so well. We wanted to do something special and let Col pick. He wanted to go out to dinner at Red Lobster. We went and his trophy sat on the table next to him. He was so proud. We're so proud of him! I think he slept with it last night ;0
